Is PokéSurvivor free to play?
Yes. It is a free, non-profit fan project with no ads, no in-app purchases and no crypto or token of its own. Donations are voluntary, cover servers and the domain, and give no in-game advantage.
Do I need to download or install anything?
No. It runs in the browser on PC, tablet and phone from the frame on this page, and it can optionally be added to your home screen so it behaves like an installed app.
How many Pokémon can I play as?
966, covering all nine regions from Kanto to Paldea. Every one of them is playable as your partner, with its own moves and its own permanent upgrades.
How do I unlock more Pokémon?
Through the slot-machine gacha, using tickets you earn by playing. Regular Pokémon drop tickets occasionally, bosses sometimes, and a rift legendary always drops ×10. Tickets cannot be bought.
What is a rift?
A portal that opens very rarely on the map — at least once every 2.5 minutes. Entering it puts you in a legendary arena matching one of that legendary's types. Win and you leave with ×10 tickets; lose and you are sent back to the map with nothing.
Is the type chart the same as in the main games?
No — it is deliberately softened. Super effective is ×1.6 instead of ×2, resisted is ×0.6, and immunities become ×0.3 so that no single matchup can end a run. Dual types multiply and cap at ×2.4.
Can I play with friends?
Yes, up to four people in an online room. Experience is shared and you can revive a downed teammate by standing next to them. Rooms connect peers directly when possible, so play on a network you trust.
Does my progress save?
With an account — a name and password, or Google sign-in — your collection, coins, upgrades and stats save to the cloud and follow you across devices. Guest mode stores nothing outside your browser.
How does a run end?
At the 30-minute mark Arceus's Judgment begins: an invincible chase that accelerates and throws a legendary at you every 5 seconds with double the previous health and damage.
Is this an official Pokémon game?
No. It is an unofficial, non-profit fan project with no connection to Nintendo, Creatures, GAME FREAK or The Pokémon Company. This page is an independent guide, not the game's own site.
